Charging ahead in Scunthorpe

Nisa Retail has invested in two electric charging points at their Scunthorpe headquarters as part of ongoing plans to prepare the business for the future.

The installation comes ahead of an expected increase in the number of Nisa employees taking on electric and hybrid vehicles in coming years.

Those members of staff driving company vehicles as well as individuals with their own electric cars will be permitted to use the points which are situated in the car park at the Partner Support Centre on the Normanby Enterprise Park.

Jon Stowe, distribution director at Nisa said: “The number of electric or hybrid cars within our fleet is currently very small, however there are significant tax incentives for making the switch to electric, particularly for company car drivers, and we envisage the numbers increasing continually over the coming years.

“As a business we are also working towards compliance with phase 2 of Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) and this is another small step towards that.”

The two charging points are now installed and fully operational in Scunthorpe.
