It’s an Evolution!
The tills are ringing away at Crawford’s supermarket in Northern Ireland following the successful installation of Nisa’s bespoke EPoS system. The retailer, a Nisa member since the 1980s, is one of Nisa’s biggest independent clients with 19 tills on site and the recent installation of Evolution is already proving a vital tool for the successful running of the business.
Member and owner Jonathan Crawford said: “The installation has gone really well. I have changed systems five times in 18 years and I must say, this has been the easiest. We had a few small things to iron out but it went incredibly well and I am delighted with it.”
Complete with media screens at the 10 belted checkout till points, Evolution gives the 26,000 sq. ft. store a hi-tech look and feel and the functions it offers in the back office in terms of stock control and ordering are making daily business far easier.
Crawford’s, situated in the town of Maghera, is spread over two floors and incorporates a separate newsagents, off-licence and cafeteria as well as other services, meaning the new EPoS solution is critical to the success of the busy, independently run business.
Thomas McCracken, Buyer for Crawford’s, said the installation that took place in early summer went to plan and he’s very satisfied with the completed job.
“This is the smoothest installation we have ever had and Evolution is working fantastically for us. In the back office the stock control is much better and the suggested ordering is so much easier and very time saving. I just wish we’d done it sooner because everything is working so much more efficiently now. Evolution is certainly the way forward.”
