Nisa forecourt store kicks off the World Cup with giveaway

An independent forecourt retailer in North Yorkshire helped customers kick off the World Cup with an instore event which saw shoppers walking away with cash prizes.

The Dales Market Corner forecourt convenience store in Pateley Bridge teamed up with Nisa to celebrate the start of the tournament and entice shoppers.

With support from Nisa’s own label pizza supplier Conveni, all Heritage pizzas on sale in the 3,000 sq.ft. store were fitted with sticky labels covered in scratch labels – with 20 winning pizzas revealing cash prizes of £10 which shoppers then collected from the till.

With the pizzas on a 2 for £5 deal the range is already popular in the busy North Yorkshire store and the special giveaway generated even more interest.

Manager of the store Stacey Brookes said: “It’s a fantastic range which sells really well here and with the added bonus of a £10 win for customers is a great enticement.

“With the World Cup now underway we have lots of drinks and snacks on promotion to encourage our shoppers to buy themselves something to enjoy with the game and the Heritage pizzas and ready meals are ideal for quick, easy food when the football is on.”

Alongside the pizza cash giveaway, the store hosted a Heritage sampling session with a range of the own label snacks available for shoppers to try before buying. Popcorn, crisps, chocolate and biscuits from the Heritage range were all enjoyed by customers.

Heritage Brand Manager Tracey Redfearn said: “Dales Market Corner is a fantastic Nisa retailer and they really support our own label range so it’s great to be able to go into store and let shoppers try the range before they buy.

“With the World Cup now on the television for the next month, people are going to be looking for snacks to share while they’re watching games and we’re hoping they’ll choose some of our great quality Heritage products.”
