31/01/2012

The Nisa Symbol Group is pleased to announce that it has opened its first on-site airport store at Newcastle International Airport - an important strategic move for the group. The store which began trading with Nisa at the end of December is fitted to the Store of the Future fascia specification to help develop and build the Nisa brand.
The 2,000 sq.ft petrol forecourt store, is situated on the perimeter of the airport in a prime location to attract customers. Open 24 hours a day, seven-days-a week, the Nisa Local has a wide demographic and caters for all convenience shopper missions. The store also houses a Costa Coffee Express, a Subway franchise and a bakery counter which helps to attract footfall.
John Heagney, Group Symbol director commented, “This is an important site for us. The airport is visited by millions of people each year and we are in a position to really showcase the Nisa brand and help to attract more loyal customers.”
Colin Fullerton of Roadside Group which owns the store commented: “We are very pleased to have become members of Nisa and we are looking forward to developing our product range especially fresh and chilled goods and offering an enhanced service to our customers. Repeat trade is important to us and it is imperative to make a good impression by giving excellent service and providing a comprehensive product range at competitive prices to help encourage the customers to return.”
The Roadside Group, which operates the store is planning to convert two further stores to the Nisa Symbol Group in the next couple of months.
